GET https://eapi.askedgar.io/v1/balance

Overview

Returns your current account credit balance, in dollars. Poll before kicking off a large batch to confirm you have enough credit, or wire into a monitoring dashboard.

Authenticated by API key; this endpoint is not billed and does not consume credits.

When to use

• Pre-flight check before a large /v1/news or /v1/screener batch.
• Automated low-balance alerting from a script or cron.
• Surfacing real-time balance in your own admin UI.

Response highlights

• balance_dollars — current balance as a float, rounded to 6 decimals.
