Overview

Returns every reverse stock split AskEdgar has on file, filterable by ticker and date. Use this to audit a company's split history or screen for stocks that have repeatedly reverse-split (a common dilution-distress signal).

When to use

  • Confirming whether a price chart needs split-adjustment.
  • Building a watchlist of multi-time reverse-splitters.
  • Joining split events against intraday performance data.

Response highlights

  • ticker — symbol at time of the split.
  • execution_date — date the split took effect.
  • split_from / split_to — ratio components. A 2:1 reverse split is split_from=2, split_to=1 — every 2 old shares become 1 new share.

Notes

  • All filters are optional. Without any, you get the most recent splits across the market, ordered by execution_date descending.
